Code execution via stale SKP parser object
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in Bentley View 10.17.0.34 allows remote attackers to execute code by persuading a user to open a crafted SKP file. The SKP parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, leaving a stale object reference available for reuse. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content and runs code in the context of the Bentley View process.
