CVE-2023-44416

Authenticated root code execution via CLI injection

Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

OS command injection in the D-Link DAP-2622 1.00 Telnet CLI allows remote authenticated users on an adjacent network to execute code. The service on TCP port 23 passes a user-supplied string to a system call without proper validation. Successful exploitation runs code as root; CISA’s ADP container also lists Power PDF before 5.0.0.12 without a product-specific mechanism.
