CVE-2023-44415

Root code execution via unvalidated CLI string

Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Command injection in D-Link DIR-1260 1.02B06 Hotfix and DIR-2150 1.02 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The TCP port 23 CLI passes an inadequately validated user-supplied string to a system call, allowing command injection. Access must originate from an adjacent network and authenticate to the CLI; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code as root.
