Unauthenticated information disclosure via addDv7Probe XXE
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
XML external entity processing in D-Link D-View 8 1.0.2.13 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data without authentication. The addDv7Probe function passes attacker-controlled external-entity URIs to an XML parser that retrieves the referenced content and embeds it in the document. Network access to that function is sufficient, and exploitation exposes resources readable by the D-View service running as SYSTEM.
