Stored cross-site scripting via unquoted breadcrumb title
Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Stored XSS in Zope 4.0.0 through 4.8.10 and 5.0.0 through 5.8.5 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via object titles. src/App/dtml/manage_tabs.dtml inserts title_or_id() into a breadcrumb CSS class without html_quote, causing a stored title to be interpreted as markup. ZMI access is Manager-only by default, and execution requires a Manager to view the object; that browser session's data and authorized actions can be exposed or altered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
