Sensitive-memory disclosure via unvalidated Doc object
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated May 28, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.006.20360 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive memory through a crafted document. AcroForm handling operates on a Doc object without confirming that the object still exists, leaving a stale reference available for reuse. Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020 20.005.30524 and earlier is also affected; exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
