Sensitive-memory disclosure via embedded-font buffer over-read
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.006.20360 and earlier and 20.005.30524 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory. The embedded-font parser fails to validate user-supplied font data before reading past the end of its allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page; the resulting memory disclosure can assist ASLR bypass.
