Default administrator password disclosure via flawed Login authentication
Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Improper authentication in Adobe FrameMaker Publishing Server 2022 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain the default administrator password. The Login method implements the authentication algorithm incorrectly, allowing unauthenticated API access that returns the default administrator credential. No user interaction or existing account is required, and exposure of that credential enables authentication bypass on the server.
