Reflected XSS via unescaped OAuth redirect parameters
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Reflected XSS in Liferay Portal 7.4.3.41 through 7.4.3.89 and DXP 7.4 updates 41 through 89 allows remote attackers to inject script. The OAuth2ProviderApplicationRedirect class inserts code and error request values into an inline window.postMessage JavaScript object without complete HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a user to load a crafted redirect response, enabling script execution in the portal origin and access to browser-session data or actions.
