CVE-2023-44279

System takeover via administrator CLI command injection

Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

OS command injection in Dell PowerProtect DD before 7.13.0.10 and listed LTS releases allows local users to take over systems via the administrator CLI. The CLI passes attacker-controlled input to an operating-system command without adequate neutralization, allowing arbitrary command execution that bypasses security restrictions. Exploitation requires a local high-privileged account and can compromise the appliance, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
