Stored script execution via unescaped widget sequence
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in the OPNsense Lobby Dashboard before 23.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The index.php POST handler saves the sequence parameter in widget configuration, which later Dashboard requests rendered without HTML escaping. Lobby Dashboard permission is sufficient, and exploitation requires another user to open the Dashboard, exposing that user's GUI session.
