Cross-user script execution via stored column count
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in the Lobby Dashboard of OPNsense before 23.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The index.php POST handler stores column_count without validation, then inserts the value unescaped into a hidden input on each dashboard visit. An account limited to the Lobby Dashboard can persist the payload; execution requires another user, including an administrator, to open that dashboard.
