Extension changes via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 6, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in FooPlugins FooGallery 2.2.44 and earlier allows remote attackers to activate or deactivate extensions. The handle_extension_action() function accepts extension-management requests without validating a WordPress nonce, so forged requests are processed under the administrator's authenticated session. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link; the bounded consequence is activation, download, or deactivation of FooGallery extensions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
