Memory-boundary error in mgd in Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the device control plane via NETCONF. Juniper has not disclosed the specific command or memory operation; processing it drives mgd CPU utilization high and leaves the NETCONF session logged in. Low-privileged access to the enabled NETCONF service is required, and the resulting CPU exhaustion disrupts control-plane service without reported data disclosure or modification.
