Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Bamboo Mcr Bamboo Columns 1.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. The plugin stores contributor-controlled page content without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing injected scripts to run when the page is rendered. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and exploitation requires another user to visit the injected page, exposing that user's browser session to script actions.
