CVE-2023-44141

Arbitrary code execution via unsafe preview links

Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Code injection in Takuya Matsuyama Inkdrop before 5.6.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Markdown file. The Markdown preview opens crafted non-HTTPS links without a confirmation gate, passing attacker-controlled link targets to the host. Execution requires a legitimate user to open the malicious file; resulting code runs with that user's privileges.
