CVE-2023-44126

Telephony data disclosure via implicit broadcasts

Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Information disclosure in LG V60 ThinQ 5G Android 8 through 13 allows local users to read telephony data via implicit broadcasts. The com.android.server.telecom call-management app sends LG-specific implicit intents containing call states, durations, dialed numbers, and contact information without restricting their recipients. A third-party app must be installed and run on the handset, and the documented consequence is disclosure of telephony information rather than modification or service interruption.
