System-privileged file access via PendingIntent hijacking
Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
Improper authorization in LG V60 ThinQ 5G on Android 12 and 13 allows local users to read or overwrite files with system privilege. The com.lge.abba Personalized service creates implicit PendingIntents without FLAG_IMMUTABLE, letting a recipient redirect them and obtain URI grants from grant-enabled content providers. Exploitation requires a malicious app with notification access and user interaction; the resulting grants expose arbitrary files to system-privileged reads or overwrites.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
