Unauthenticated service-data disclosure via authentication brute force
Published Oct 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Improper authentication-attempt restriction in Huawei HarmonyOS and EMUI allows remote attackers to read confidential service data. The device authentication module fails to restrict repeated authentication attempts; Huawei has not disclosed the affected request or credential type. Affected releases are HarmonyOS 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 3.0.0, 3.1.0, and 4.0.0 and EMUI 12.0.0, 12.0.1, and 13.0.0; network reachability is the only published gate, and the documented consequence is limited to service-data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
