CVE-2023-4409Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file upload via image endpoint

Published Aug 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in HappySoft NBS&HappySoftWeChat 1.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to write PHP files through its image API. The /api/upload/index.php imageupload action accepts a replayed image-upload request after its filename suffix is changed to .php, then stores the file under a partly predictable name. Low-privilege application access is required; the public demonstration confirms upload and file discovery, but it does not establish server-side PHP execution.
