Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC10U 1.0 US_AC10UV1.0RTL_V15.03.06.49_multi_TDE01 allows remote attackers to crash httpd or execute code. The formSetClientState handler passes four request parameters, including limitSpeed, through sprintf into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking their lengths. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted POST to /goform/SetClientState can interrupt router management or run code with httpd privileges.
