Remote code execution via extracted webshell archive
Published Oct 2, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in mojoPortal 2.7.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the File Manager. The File Manager accepts an archive containing an .ashx webshell, and the /fileservice extract action places that script beneath Data/Sites/1/media. No authentication or user interaction is required, and requesting the extracted webshell executes code in the web application's server context.
