CVE-2023-4399Network attack vector

Blocked-host access via punycode deny-list bypass

Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Network restriction bypass in Request Security in Grafana Labs Grafana Enterprise allows remote authenticated users to reach blocked hosts. The Request Security hostname check fails to match a blocked host when the request address encodes its characters with punycode. Exploitation requires high privileges and an administrator-configured deny list; success permits server-side requests to hosts that policy should block.
