Browser script execution via unsanitized project field
Published Sep 29, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Task Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a project field. The project-list route accepts a crafted field value that is later rendered as active script content; public records do not identify the field name. Low-privileged access and a separate user viewing the stored project data are required, limiting the impact to browser-session data access and modification.
