Stored XSS via unsanitized transaction reference
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in the Transactions panel of Subrion CMS 4.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The Reference ID field accepts a crafted payload and later renders it without sufficient neutralization when a user opens /profile/funds/. An account able to add a transaction is required, and execution depends on another user viewing the funds profile; the script then runs in that viewer's browser context.
