Router crash via unchecked curtime formatting
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stack buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-619L B1 2.02 allows remote attackers to crash the router through a crafted curtime parameter. The formSetWanDhcpplus handler obtains the untrusted curtime value with websGetVar and passes it to sprintf on a stack buffer without enforcing a length limit. Network access to the router's web interface is sufficient, and successful exploitation interrupts routing service rather than exposing or altering data.
