Authenticated web-interface interruption via malformed username
Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Improper input validation in ATEN PE6208 2.3.228 and 2.4.232 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the web interface. The user-management endpoint accepts an opening angle bracket in a new username, after which user-list and log rendering fail while the associated records remain. A valid unprivileged session ID is required, and the documented interruption is limited to account administration and log viewing.
