CVE-2023-43845Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator access via unchanged default Telnet credentials

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Default credentials in ATEN PE6208 2.3.228 and 2.4.232 allow remote attackers to gain administrator access through Telnet. The firmware provisions the privileged Telnet account with the published teladmin/telpwd credential pair and never forces a password change after first login. Network access to the enabled Telnet service is required; successful login grants power-management control, including outlet switching that can interrupt attached systems.
