Administrator access via unchanged default web credentials
Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Use of default credentials in ATEN PE6208 Firmware 2.3.228 and 2.4.232 allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The privileged web-interface account ships as administrator with the password password, and initial login does not require the credential to be changed. Exploitation requires network access to the appliance's web interface and succeeds only while the factory credentials remain unchanged, granting full administrative control.
