CVE-2023-43824Network attack vector

Code execution via wTitleTextLen stack overflow

Published Jan 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Delta Electronics DOPSoft 2.00.00.00 through 2.00.07.04 allows remote attackers to execute code via a DPS file. The DPS parser uses the attacker-controlled wTitleTextLen value while copying title text into stack storage without rejecting an oversized length. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-supplied project file, after which code executes in the DOPSoft process context.
