Improper URL validation in Altair GraphQL Client before 5.2.5 allows local users to read user data via crafted external URLs. The non-isolated Electron renderer forwards window.open targets to the operating system without rejecting malformed or file-scheme URLs. Exploitation requires user interaction and code running in the renderer; a file URL can launch an installed application with the user’s privileges.
