Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated redirect target
Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
SSRF in BigBlueButton before 2.6.12 and 2.7.0-alpha.1 through 2.7.0-beta.3 allows remote authenticated users to reach internal resources. The insertDocument path validates the initial presentation URL, but httpclient.execute follows redirects to an unvalidated destination. Exploitation requires administrative API access and the shared API Secret Salt; the server can then read or modify reachable internal resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
