Control-port packet crash

A denial-of-service vulnerability in nqptp before 1.2.3 allows local users to crash the program via crafted control-port packets. The handle_control_port_messages function previously dereferenced and parsed received data without first validating that the buffer was non-null and the length positive, so malformed control-port input could terminate the process. Exploitation requires local access to the control port and results in service interruption without disclosed confidentiality or integrity impact.
