Arbitrary SQL execution via newapi filter parameter
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated May 27, 2025
SQL injection in Zultys MX firmware before 17.0.10 patch 17161 and 16.0.4 patch 16109 allows remote authenticated users to run SQL. The /newapi/ handler incorporates the attacker-controlled filter parameter into a backend database query without neutralizing SQL syntax. Exploitation requires authenticated access to the web administration service on TCP port 443 and permits arbitrary queries against backend data.
