Authenticated reflected XSS via unsanitized tax class title
Published Sep 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
Reflected XSS in osCommerce 4.12.56860 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted tax_class_title value. The /admin/tax_classes/save endpoint accepts tax_class_title and returns it in browser-rendered content without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires low-privileged administrative access and a user to load the affected content, exposing that user's session and page data to attacker-controlled JavaScript.
