Authenticated browser script execution via stored shipping-title input
Published Sep 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in osCommerce 4.12.56860 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The /admin/configuration/saveparam endpoint stores the SHIPPING_GENDER_TITLE[1] value without neutralizing injected script markup before later rendering it. An administrative session is required to submit the value, and a second user must view affected content; successful exploitation can read or alter browser-accessible data in the osCommerce origin.
