Stored script execution via unsanitized configuration title
Published Sep 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in osCommerce 4.12.56860 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser via a configuration title. The /admin/configuration/saveparam endpoint stores ENTRY_FIRST_NAME_MIN_LENGTH_TITLE[1] without adequate validation or sanitization and renders the supplied script when the affected URL is accessed. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and subsequent browser interaction by another user, enabling script execution in that user's session.
