Browser script execution via unsanitized title
Published Sep 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Reflected XSS in osCommerce 4.12.56860 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser via an admin request. The /admin/admin-menu/add-submit endpoint processes the title parameter without adequate neutralization, causing injected JavaScript to execute when the affected response is loaded. An authenticated account must submit the crafted title and another user must load the response, limiting consequences to that user's browser context.
