CVE-2023-43694

Denial of service via disassembler out-of-bounds reads

Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 14, 2025

Out-of-bounds reads in Malwarebytes 4.6.14.326 and earlier and 5.1.5.116 and earlier allow local users to disrupt service stability. Several disassembling utilities read beyond buffer bounds, but Malwarebytes has not disclosed which utilities or input fields trigger the reads. CISA assesses that exploitation requires local access, high privileges, and high complexity with no user interaction; the vendor identifies denial of service but does not distinguish a hang from a crash.
