CVE-2023-43663Network attack vector

Module disruption via unrestricted dashboard hook invocation

Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Improper privilege management in PrestaShop before 8.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to disable or uninstall shop modules. The ajaxProcessSaveDashConfig method accepts the request-supplied hook name and invokes any matching method on a selected module without limiting it to dashboard hooks. A valid low-rights back-office account is sufficient, and successful exploitation interrupts the shop features supplied by the targeted module.
