Unauthenticated user enumeration via distinguishable responses
Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
User enumeration in Siemens Mendix Forgot Password before 3.7.3, 4.1.3, or 5.4.0 allows remote attackers to identify valid users. The affected module returns distinguishable responses when processing a submitted user identifier, exposing whether it maps to a valid account. No authentication is required; the resulting list supports targeted password guessing, but the flaw does not itself grant account access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
