Unrestricted file upload in Croc before 9.6.16 allows attackers to place dangerous new files on a receiver through a crafted transfer. The receiver accepts sender-supplied arbitrary or relative paths for files that do not already exist and writes them without confining them to a download directory. The receiver must accept the transfer; a concealed executable or authorized_keys file can then execute code or grant account access under the receiver process permissions.
