Unauthenticated script execution via order data editing
Published Sep 26, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Welcart e-Commerce 2.7 through 2.8.21 allows remote attackers to execute script in a logged-in user's browser. The vendor identifies the Order Data Edit page but has not disclosed the affected parameter or the missing validation or output-encoding operation. An attacker needs no account, but exploitation requires a logged-in user to open content carrying the injected script; resulting access is limited to that user's browser context.
