Local memory corruption via unchecked tmecom buffer copy
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Classic buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon HLOS allows local users to corrupt memory through tmecom with DEBUG_FS enabled. Qualcomm identifies an unchecked buffer copy in tmecom but does not publish the affected function, buffer, input path, or copy operation. Reachability requires low privileges, DEBUG_FS, and a kernel-address-sanitizer workload; exploitation requires no additional user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
