Unauthenticated code execution via password-recovery SQL injection
Published Sep 22, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
SQL injection in janobe Online Job Portal 2020 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the ForPass.php password-recovery endpoint. The handler incorporates the txtUserName form value into a database query so an apostrophe-bearing Boolean expression is evaluated as SQL rather than data. The password-recovery form is reachable without authentication, and the demonstrated payload controls the query with the reported consequence of arbitrary code execution.
