Authenticated code execution via unchecked template path
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Path traversal in Dreamer CMS 4.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted template upload. The template-upload function accepts themePath without restricting directory traversal and uses it to select an archive for extraction. Administrative template-upload access is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled template code on the CMS host.
