Reflected script execution via unsanitized installation uid
Published Oct 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Reflected XSS in Evolution CMS 3.2.3 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a crafted uid value during installation. The database installation connection step reflects the uid parameter into its response without neutralizing embedded JavaScript. The installer must remain reachable, and a user must submit the crafted value and continue to the next step, exposing browser-session data or actions to the injected script.
