Account impersonation via reflected login redirect
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Reflected XSS in mooSocial 3.1.8 allows remote attackers to steal a victim's session cookies through a crafted login URL. The user login function returns attacker-controlled data[redirect_url] content in the response as executable HTML rather than neutralizing it. A victim must load the crafted response; the resulting script can expose the session cookie and enable account impersonation.
