Stored XSS via unescaped article title
Published Oct 2, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Cross-site scripting in emlog Pro 2.1.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary web scripts via a crafted article title. The publish article function accepts title content containing a crafted payload that is later interpreted as script-capable markup when article content is rendered. Exploitation requires article-publishing access and a victim loading the affected article; script execution can access data or perform actions available to that victim's session.
