Credential disclosure via unauthenticated router logs
Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Information disclosure in Milesight UR5X, UR32L, UR32, UR35, and UR41 before 35.3.0.7 allows remote attackers to read router credentials. The web server exposes /lang/log/httpd.log without authentication, and the log records usernames and AES-CBC-encrypted passwords while client-side code supplies a fixed key and IV. Any network-reachable management interface exposes retrievable credentials that can be decrypted and used to access the router; no integrity or availability effect is reported.
